Custom Work-
All custom jewelry is performed to the customer’s specifications and with the customer’s approval. Custom work requires a 25% deposit before the work begins. Full payment upon receipt of custom work will denote the client’s complete satisfaction.
Jewelry Inspections-
We recommend that you bring your diamond and colored stone jewelry to our store for inspection every 6 months. We will inspect the gemstones, prongs, and general condition of the setting(s) to help prevent any possible damage or loss of your gemstones. This inspection service is always free of charge!
Layaway-
We offer a 90-day, interest free layaway plan for any item you desire. We require an initial 25% deposit of the total purchase (including tax), with equal payments made monthly, in accordance to the terms. Alterations & adjustments, such as ring sizing, will be made at balance payoff. Many can be done the same day. Expired layaways will receive an in store credit for monies received.
Returns & Exchanges-
Returns will be honored with store credit only. Returns are accepted within thirty (30) days of purchase. All returns must be in “new condition” and accompanied by your original receipt. We do not offer returns on Estate or Clearance items. Returns are subject to restocking fees, if alterations have been performed and/or if the item needs polishing or refurbishing. Please note: Custom Designs and Special Order sales are considered final and are not returnable.
Unclaimed Repairs-
It is the customer’s responsibility to provide accurate contact information. Reasonable effort will be made to contact customers who have not claimed or picked up repair work. Lathrop’s will not be responsible for repairs left beyond sixty (60) days from drop-off date, or for work redeemed on lost claim checks without prior notification. If no communication occurs or no contact is made, repair items left beyond ninety (90) days from drop-off date may be sold to recover costs and expenses.
